Insplorion AB: Battery sensor patent will be granted in Japan

Insplorion"s battery sensor patent "Battery with sensor" will be granted for the Japanese market.

The patent application was filed in April 2014 and entered the national examination phase in November 2016. The Japanese patent office, JPO, has stated that they will grant the patent, with the patent application number 2017-5042244 in Japan. The patent covers the use of Insplorion"s core NPS technology in a battery charge sensor.

The patent provides protection in Japan until March 19, 2035*. The patent is previously approved by EPO (EU) and China and is pending in USA and South Korea.

"It is of course positive that our battery sensor patent has been granted in Japan, especially as the Japanese market drives battery development and usage for both transport and energy storage applications. It complements our already granted main patent and strengthens our overall position", says Patrik Dahlqvist, CEO of Insplorion.
