Gaming company Mindark is launching Synths: Evolved, described as the next major update for the AI-driven game characters Synths in the online game Entropia Universe.Synths were introduced in May and are autonomous AI players with their own goals, memories, and relationships that participate in the same game world and real economy as human players.According to Mindark, Synths have already developed different behaviors, with some focusing on hunting, trading, or exploration while others have built social networks and participated in the game's economy.With the new update, the AI characters will, among other things, gain access to more planets, vehicles, fishing, crafting, quest management, and expanded social features. The company states that the goal is to allow the AI players to develop their own purposes and roles in the game world.
