Zenith Energy announces that the ICSID arbitral tribunal has established the remaining timetable in the company’s dispute with Tunisia. This is stated in a press release.The parties’ final written submissions must be filed no later than 31 July and 30 September 2026, respectively. The arbitration award is expected in the first quarter of 2027. At the same time, Zenith Energy states that the claimed damages amount has been increased to approximately $573 million. The amount reflects various additional breaches and obstacles on the part of the Republic of Tunisia."Now that the merits hearing is concluded and the ICSID arbitration proceeds into its post-hearing final phase, we are closer than ever to obtaining what we believe will be a significant and fully enforceable arbitral award against the Republic of Tunisia," comments Andrea Cattaneo, CEO of Zenith.
