The energy company Zenith Energy has begun construction of its first solar power plant in Puglia, Italy. The project of approximately 1 MWp is the first of three facilities in the company’s portfolio totaling 7 MWp, with the others expected to begin construction during July and August. All are to be connected to the power grid and generate revenue before the end of 2026. The initiative is part of the company’s Italian portfolio of around 200 MWp and is expected to be eligible for Italy’s FER X support program, which is backed by a state aid package of EUR 23 billion approved by the European Commission.
