PharmaLundensis says that the new heavy metal binder Phal-501 binds heavy metals more effectively and for a longer duration than IodoCarb, according to a press release. The company therefore assesses that Phal-501 has the potential to provide a better effect in the treatment of COPD and chronic bronchitis. PharmaLundensis is now working to finance GMP production and planned clinical studies.
