Zenith Energy has entered into a binding letter of intent with exclusivity to acquire an Italian company developing a fully permitted biogas plant. The purchase price amounts to a maximum of EUR 1.6 million, and the final purchase price will be determined after completed due diligence, according to a press release.The planned plant is expected to produce approximately 3 million cubic meters of biomethane per year for the Italian gas network. The project is estimated to generate annual revenue of about EUR 5 million and annual EBITDA of about EUR 2.5 million once full operations are reached.Zenith Energy intends to finance both the acquisition and the project development through non-dilutive green project financing. The financing is expected to be secured no later than the third quarter of 2026, while the acquisition is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter. Operations are expected to start in the third quarter of 2027.The company describes the deal as the first step in building an Italian portfolio in biogas and biomethane alongside its existing solar power business.
