VibroSense Dynamics AB (publ) has signed a research agreement with the renowned Diabetic Foot Unit at the Complutense University of Madrid. The purpose of the collaboration is to validate the VibroSense Meter® II in clinical practice and to objectively compare the technology with current standard methods used to diagnose diabetic neuropathy.
The clinical study will be conducted within the framework of the Diabetic Foot Unit, a globally recognized institution with deep expertise in diabetes-related complications, including peripheral neuropathy and diabetic foot ulcers.
– This collaboration marks an important step in our efforts to establish the VibroSense Meter II as a clinically valuable tool. We are honored to work with such a highly respected research environment as the Complutense University of Madrid, says Tarik Cengiz, CEO of VibroSense Dynamics.
The aim of the study is to investigate whether the VibroSense Meter II can offer clinical benefits compared to today’s established methods for detecting diabetes-related nerve damage. By objectively comparing the results, the parties hope to evaluate whether the technology can contribute to earlier and more accurate diagnosis of peripheral neuropathy in diabetic patients.
– We look forward to evaluating the VibroSense Meter II as a potential complement to current clinical methods. Early detection of peripheral neuropathy is crucial for preventing serious complications, and we welcome new technologies that may support improved diagnostics and patient care, says Professor José Luis Lázaro Martínez, Head of the Diabetic Foot Unit at the Complutense University of Madrid.
The VibroSense Meter II is a diagnostic system that measures vibration perception at multiple frequencies and is designed to detect early signs of nerve impairment. The technology has the potential to support clinical decision-making and enhance the quality of care for patients with diabetes.
