Press release from Companies
Publicerat: 2025-11-26 13:45:00
Carbiotix AB (publ) ("Carbiotix" or “the Company") announces today that the Company has signed a NutraCycle Joint Commercial Development Agreement (JCDA) with a global Business to-Business (B2B) beverage solutions provider operating in over 50 countries covering a range of grain, fruit and vegetable-based products. The JCDA will start already in Q4 2025 and continue over a 6-month period, following the successful completion of a laboratory pre-study project on two fruit and vegetable side-streams during 2025. The JCDA will include formulation verification with one or several Food & Beverage Consumer Packaged Goods (F&B CPG) companies and engineering specification/ investment case development. At the conclusion of the JCDA, a decision will be made to construct a NutraCycle process through a multi-party license and operator agreement. This JCDA is the third of several potential agreements that the Company communicated will start in H2 2025.
Erik Deaner, CEO of Carbiotix, comments:
“I am again very pleased to announce that we have signed another JCDA, this time with a global B2B beverage solutions provider. Working with a leading B2B ingredient and solutions provider will naturally open business opportunities, allowing Carbiotix to reach many more F&B CPG companies. The JCDA partner operates more than 10 manufacturing sites, with business in over 50 countries, and employs over 10,000 people. From these manufacturing sites, the partner generates many thousands of tons of grain, fruit and vegetable-based side-streams that have the potential to be upcycled into extracts for diverse human, pet-food and feed applications. As with previously communicated JCDAs, it is Carbiotix’s ambition to earn an average 0.50 USD per kg extract over the lifetime of a multi-party license and operator agreement, offering the same value creation for side-stream owners and a 50% discount for F&B CPG partners to access fibre, protein, and antioxidant rich extracts compared to at-market ingredients.
This JCDA is slated to start in Q4 2025, will be carried out over a 6-month period and will include formulation verification with one or several F&B CPG companies and engineering specification/ investment case development. At the conclusion of the JCDA, a decision will be made to construct a NutraCycle process through a multi-party license and operator agreement. I look forward to starting this JCDA project and quickly moving forward to the stage of making a decision on constructing a NutraCycle process and allowing the partner in question to capture more value from their side-stream as both a stand-alone and complementary fortification extract.”
