Logistics and transport company Movebybike reports increased revenue and improved operating profit for the first quarter compared with the corresponding quarter last year.Net sales rose to SEK 9.5 million (6.9), corresponding to an increase of 37 percent. Ebitda amounted to SEK -5.2 million (-5.0). Operating profit improved to SEK -5.5 million (-5.9). Profit before tax improved to SEK -5.8 million (-6.3).The company says the development was mainly driven by higher volumes in all cities. March is described as the best March in the company's history in terms of delivery volumes.CEO Fredrik Videlycka says the company implemented organizational changes and strengthened leadership during the quarter to create a more robust operation. He also highlights that the company has begun an AI-driven transformation of the business. January and February were weaker than desired. "After a challenging start to the year, the quarter ended strongly. March became the best March in the company's history, with clear growth both compared with the previous month and the same period last year. We saw increased volumes, improved operational performance and significantly stronger stability in the business, not least in Stockholm where several implemented changes have now had an effect. The positive development has also continued after the end of the quarter, which gives us clear confirmation that we are on the right track," he writes in the report.
