Biogas company Biofrigas assesses that the market for liquefied biogas in the Nordics continues to grow, with particularly strong development in Finland and Norway. In Finland, biogas use rose to approximately 2.3 TWh in 2025 from 1.3 TWh the previous year, corresponding to 77 percent, while increased import demand for biomethane is driving the market. In Norway, liquefied biogas now accounts for approximately 50 percent of the biogas used as vehicle fuel, up from about 30 percent in 2021.– The Nordic market is developing strongly and we are seeing growing interest in locally produced liquefied biogas, says CEO Erik Fromell.
